Business and Economic Development Stakeholder Meeting

(Businesses, employers, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, workforce development organizations, freight companies and utility companies)

Connecting Our Future is a regional initiative to improve mobility and connectivity in the 10-county Upstate region of South Carolina. Led by a coalition of Upstate business and industry leaders, planning practitioners, elected officials, and representatives from non-profit organizations, Connecting Our Future aligns the region’s urgent mobility needs with local and regional aspirations such as economic vitality and inclusivity, environmental stewardship, and quality of life.

The first phase of the initiative began in October 2017 to establish an overarching vision supported by broad mobility themes. The first phase concluded in August 2018 with a public event and call to action. As part of the second phase, the project team is taking a deeper dive into the initial set of strategies.

We need your input!

Focus group sessions will occur on December 4th to learn how you and your organization work with other entities in the region. As part of the session, we will explore the region's mobility needs and how government, private industry, and non-profits can more effectively partner to advance these priorities. We invite you the Business and Economic Development Stakeholder Session. We hope that you will join us.
