USS Minneapolis Saint Paul Christening - The Navy League of the U.S. Twin Cities Council Invites You 

The U.S. Navy will christen and launch the USS Minneapolis Saint Paul (LCS 21) on Saturday, June 15th, at Marinette Marine in Wisconsin! The christening of a warship is a time-honored tradition at which the Ship's Sponsor officially names the vessel, smashes the ceremonial champagne bottle against the hull, and the ship launches for the first time.  Deputy Undersecretary of the Navy Jodi Greene is the Ship's Sponsor, and a native of Northfield, MN.  The photo here is a sister ship launching in 2017.
