Meet the Presenters:
Chip Laingen is the Executive Director of Defense Alliance (www.defensealliance.com) and Vice President, Midwest Region, Logistic Specialties, Inc. (LSI), a national business and economic development firm. He is an experienced professional for industry and technology-based business and economic development, with core expertise in Federal procurement, cluster development, and leadership development. He is on the Advisory Committees for the Cyber Security Summit, the St. Paul Full Stack initiative and the Twin Cities Veteran Suicide Prevention Task Force; and previously the Midwest Cleantech Open, and AirSpace Minnesota. He was on the executive commission of the Minnesota Science & Technology Authority and was selected as an Executive Fellow for the University of Minnesota’s Center for Integrative Leadership in 2012. In 2011 he joined the graduate faculty at the University of Minnesota’s Technological Leadership Institute. He is a past President of the Twin Cities Council of the Navy League and is the owner of Laingen Communications.

Norb Biderman is President & Founder of Growth Enterprises, LLC; and senior business director at Defense Alliance. His practice began in December, 2015 following 36 years of service with 3M Corporation, where he largely built 3M’s government market presence. Norb’s guiding principles are uncompromising integrity, ethics, candor and passion – from “theory to practice to results.”
Norb started his career at 3M in 1979 after completing a BS in Organization Management at Quincy University. During his years of service at 3M, Norb held numerous business management leadership positions, domestically and internationally. Highlights included P&L management of 3M’s pressure sensitive packaging systems business unit, the development and execution of 3M’s Defense Market business, and, 3M’s efforts in strategic accounts. Norb was the principal responsible for the development & execution of the Corporate-to-Corporate Strategic Relationship Agreement with one of the nation’s largest Defense Market Prime Contractors.
