Make this an important event for your board this year.
You won't be disappointed!

You are cordially invited to the
ONE CONFERENCE
of the year
SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR BOARD MEMBERS
in British Columbia

This year's theme, 'A Province that Works For Everyone,' will focus on building stronger boards, more visionary community development and a framework for social policy in BC.

The Program this year is sure to be energizing for everyone, with an exciting line-up of speakers and a premiere workshop:
  • SPEAKERS  - MSD NDP Critic, Michelle Mungall; and Green Party MLA, Andrew Weaver will bring political perspectives to the conference.  Faye Wightman will reflect on her years in the forefront of philanthropy in Canada and on the development of the non-profit sector in BC.  Also in attendance is Leann Wagner, Executive Director of the Strategic Policy Initiatives Branch for Alberta Human Services, from the Alberta government who will discuss how that province went about developing a social policy framework passed into law in February of this year.  As Board Voice has taken on the task of promoting such a framework for BC, we expect this to be very helpful in understanding the road ahead.
  • WORKSHOP - "Governing for What Matters" - Hildy Gottlieb, of Creating the Future organization, http://www.creatingthefuture.org.  (See information below)
The Board of Board Voice hopes you will take this opportunity to find out more about what's going on and the role you can play in this work.

See you there!

Board Voice is committed to full participation by organizations from across British Columbia.  As in other years, we expect to have available a limited travel subsidy for member organizations from outside Metro Vancouver who require assistance in order to participate (one subsidy per agency).

Subsidy availability depends on fund-raising.  Last year, subsidies of up to $300 were granted due to a number of larger agencies who provded grants to the Bringing Us Together Fund.  Our sincere thanks to those agencies who supported our members last year.
