Winnabow, North Carolina 

The home we are serving at is less than one mile from the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 87. The home is close to Brunswick Equipment & Supply Company and Peace Memorial Baptist Church.

All registered volunteers will receive an email with confirmation details the week of the volunteer day. For privacy reasons, exact loation information is not shared publicy.

Age Requirements: Youth (ages 14+) are permitted to volunteer, but must be accompanied by an adult (21+) who will volunteer alongside them and serve as a chaperone. Parental consent forms must be on file with WARM prior to the volunteer day.

Tools & Materials: WARM provides all tools and materials needed to complete repairs. You are welcome to bring your own favorite hand tools, gloves, knee pads, or other similar items that will make working outdoors and with your hands more comfortable! 

About the Homeowner: On WARM's 5th Annual Veteran's Day of Hope, our goal is to serve the families of veterans. On this day, volunteers will help Ms. Mary, an elderly homeowner whose late husband was a U.S. Army veteran. When he passed away, he was survived by Ms. Mary and their seven grown children. Please join us this Veteran's Day of Hope to support safe housing for Ms. Mary and to honor a veteran's memory through volunteer service!

About the Repairs: On both Friday and Saturday, volunteers like you will help repair the floors throughout Ms. Mary's home and help make them safe again.
