Age Requirements: Youth 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult who will serve as a chaperone. Children under the age of 14 may volunteer on a case by case basis. Please let us know in advance if you are planning on bringing someone under the age of 18, so that we may send you a parental consent form.

About the Home, the Homeowner, & Planned Repairs: Ms. Satin is a single mother who is raising three children that all have difficult medical conditions.  Between her full-time job as a firefighter medic and caring for her children there is not any time or money left to tend to her home.  Won’t you come offer this hard working mother a helping hand?  I can’t think of a much better Mother’s Day gift than that!

We will accomplish a lot on May 12 in order to ease some of the stress Ms. Satin is feeling. Here is an idea of the repairs volunteers like you will be making: repair the landings and steps at her entryways, repair her floors and exterior door, build an access ramp, and make her bathroom more accessible.  Though a partnership with the Red Cross we will also be installing smoke alarms in her home.

Tools, Materials, and What to Bring: WARM provides all tools and materials needed to complete repairs. You are welcome to bring your own favorite hand tools, gloves, knee pads, or other similar items that will make working outdoors and with your hands more comfortable! Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty.

Volunteer Roles: Make a difference for low-income homeowners on Mother's Day of Hope in three possible roles! See the roles below and details to the right!
