Children's early years in school build a foundation for not only the academic skills that will help them through life, but also the social skills that will propel them to success in and out of the classroom. From respecting others to developing healthy friendships to building self-confidence, this presentation will discuss the social milestones commonly encountered by students and how the adults in a young person's life can support this social growth. During this two-part session, the first hour will focus on topics pertinent to Kindergarten to Third Grade, and the second hour will delve into issues more common in Fourth through Eight Grade. Presenters: Kathleen Hutson, LCSWA and Heather Sheppard, LPC, both of The Fletcher School.
This workshop is $10 per person.
