Moving from Classroom Management to Student Engagement
Community-building through drama activities that foster cooperative and collaborative learning in the classroom or afterschool setting.
Earn a CUNY Certificate of Completion and CTLE Credit for Professional and Level III Teaching Assistant certificate holders.
In this workshop, participants will practice drama activities that foster cooperative and collaborative learning in the classroom or afterschool setting.
The workshop will focus on:
- Identifying the step-by-step instruction process.
- Developing a personal leadership style.
- Implementing a management plan that allows all students to learn and be successful.
This session is tailored for teachers at any grade level so they can focus on instruction and flow of learning (through participant-centered, positive engagement), rather than disruptions.
Who should attend?
Educators interested in exploring a new outlet for engaging their students.
Led by Helen Wheelock, Director of the Early Learning Program. Coffee and tea provided.
