Purpose:
To offer Wisconsin and international youth a memorable experience in conservation that lasts a lifetime and makes a difference in their lives.
Youth Participants:
150 youth from The Ho-Chunk Nation, China, Japan and Wisconsin all in its cultural diversity. Youth are joined by 50 teachers, parents, sponsors and chaperones.
Activities:
Drums, dance, food, games, outdoor fun and The Ho-Chunk Nation Sacred Smudging Ceremony will connect and inspire you to create a conversation legacy.
Supporting The Ho-Chunk Nation are the Department of Natural Resouces, Wisconsin Academy of Global Education and Training (WAGET), Milwaukee, and Outdoor Heritage Education Center, Hazel Green, Wisconsin. WAGET is a 501 3c organization and successor of Rivers as Bridges. Below are representations of the keepsake medallion.
