Architectural Scavenger Hunt
Grab a map, the clues, a compass, and comfortable shoes-
it is our fifth Annual Architectural Scavenger Hunt!
This year we will be focused on Southeast Portland. Originally designated in 1850 as the East Portland Townsite, the east side with annex into the city of Portland in 1891. The original character of the neighborhood was characterized by the high-styles of the Victorian period. The early 20th century added colonial revival, mission and art deco to the mix of this key commercial core of East Portland. Come test your architectural knowlege and learn some history about our city!
Each team will be be given a map and clues about each building's exterior facade and historical relevance. The team with the most correct answers wins!
This is a great event for meeting up with friends or making some new ones.
Meet us on July 12th at 5:30pm at Loyal Legion to divide into teams and recieve the clues.
After the Scavanger Hunt, the winner will be announced at Loyal Legion, 710 SE 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97214. Happy Hour is generously hosted by Laird Plastic.
