First Lady's Luncheon

Floral Design Volunteer Application

Once again, Certified American Grown has the privilege of providing stunning American Grown Flowers for the arrangements that grace the tables of the First Lady's Luncheon in Washington D.C., a 107-year-old bi-partisan tradition, that helps to raise funds for a charity of the First Lady's choice.

Farms are volunteering their flowers, trucking companies are volunteering their transportation, hard goods companies are donating their hard goods and we need a team of designers to help us execute the design for the day of the event.

The 2018 Volunteer Design Team was made up of designers from all across the U.S.

This is a tremendous opportunity and in order to successfully complete this project, certain design skills and experiene will be necessary.  Therefore, we've put together a brief volunteer description and a survey to help provide information about the expectations and experience neccesary for anyone who is interested in being a part of the floral design team this year.

As a designer, we understand that you may have a wedding booked for Saturday.

However, we have developed a schedule of volunteering to help accomodate such situations, with volunteer opportunties starting on both Saturday and Sunday, but requiring that all volunteers work together through Tuesday, May 14.

We have outlined two opportunities for volunteering for this year's First Lady's Luncheon; Volunteer Floral Designer and a Volunteer Support Team Member.
