This workshop covers the legal components of starting a new venture. We will cover the various types of business entities to choose from, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, corporations and non-profits. We will also cover all necessary filings and documents one should prepare for each type of venture. Finally, we will cover company upkeep and other important legal considerations for your new venture.


Participants will learn:

  • The differences between different business entity types, including the pros and cons for each
  • The necessary steps to form each type of business entity
  • Company upkeep
  • Other best business practices for new ventures

Grant is originally from Chicago Illinois and attended law school at Santa Clara University where he served as president of the Student Bar Association.

He has focused his law career on business, entertainment, and intellectual property matters,
and served as a lead litigation and transactions associate with a firm in Downtown Los Angeles
before launching Framework Law Group — a law firm dedicated to the entrepreneur and
creative community. He is also a musician, photographer, band manager, project developer,
and small-business owner.
