Vice President, Regional Sales

DeLania Truly is Vice President of Sales in the Central Region for CUNA Mutual Group. In this role she is responsible for leading the region to establish, implement and monitor plans to meet corporate sales and marketing objectives. She also oversees efforts to maintain and enhance long-term marketplace relationships for CUNA Mutual Group.

Truly joined CUNA Mutual Group in 1995 as director of marketing for CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc. She later expanded her role to become marketing strategist for all investment services and was part of the team that launched Members Mutual Funds. Truly became Vice President of Member Marketing in 1999, where she led a team dedicated to member-focused marketing for all product lines.

In 2002, Truly became a full-time consultant within CUNA Mutual Group to help credit unions develop their strategic plans, brand strategies, management development and other key initiatives. She was appointed Vice President of Sales for the Southwest Marketing Division in 2005, and later expanded to South Region in 2006. In 2013, she was named the VP of Sales for the Central Region, one of three in the U.S.

Truly has been working with credit unions since 1976. She has experience in sales, management and marketing within the financial services industry. Her background includes management, sales, advertising, marketing, leadership development, strategic planning, human resources and investment services.

Truly earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism/communications from the University of Texas, along with a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management at the University of Dallas. She is also a graduate of the CUES Executive Marketing Institute.

Truly is a featured speaker and workshop facilitator at national and league credit union conferences and has published many articles in industry publications. She is also a faculty member of the Southwest CUNA Management School.
