This course explores the diagnosis, pathology, and treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases, specifically Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis - diseases that affect nearly 2 million Americans. We will examine an integrative and functional medicine perspective of these diseases, as well as traditional Chinese medical concepts around autoimmunity.
