How often do you get to meet the person who actually grew your food?
We've invited local farmers, cheesemakers, winemakers, and even local millers to this special 4-course gourmet dinner where you'll be able to dine on what they have grown and produced here in the Delaware River Valley.
It's a great group of people who are articulate, interesting and very knowledgeable about growing delicious, sustainably grown food. They're also fun to hang out with!
The Farmers
Tricia Borneman and Tom Murtha grow USDA certified organic vegetables and fruits at Blooming Glen Farm in Blooming Glen, PA.
Mark and Fran Fischer became the only millers in Bucks County when Mark brought several 19th century flour mills back to life in 2011. Now they produce stone ground whole grain flours, cornmeal, and other grains at Castle Valley Mill, all of which is Pennsylvania-grown and non-GMO.
Nina and Jonathan White from Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse create amazing artisanal cheeses and butter, bake rustic wood-fired breads, and raise their animals on pasture using organic practices.
At Purely Farm in Upper Bucks County, Joanna and Marc Michini raise delicious pork, lamb, chicken and turkey,
also on pasture using organic methods.
Rich Adamek has been tending grape vines since he was a small boy in Czechoslovakia. He learned his craft at several prominent European wineries before coming to the US. In 2011 he produced his first European vinifera wines at his Vivat Alfa Winery (formerly Alfa & Omega Winery) here in Bucks County.
