CFAR Sub-Saharan Africa Working Group 2nd Biannual Meeting 

Thank you very much for your interest in attending the 2nd Biannual CFAR-SSA WG Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Dec 6-7, 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa, directly proceeding ICASA 2013. We encourage you to fill out the registration request form below. Registration is free but space is quite limited so we may not be able to accommodate all interested participants.

When: December 6-7, 2013. Immediately preceding ICASA 2013

Where: Fountains Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa

Who: Any CFAR or SSA collaborating institution investigators.

What: Friday, December 6th will be a half-day (afternoon) New Investigator-focused meeting with lectures and activities focused on building research capacity among SSA new investigators who are working at CFAR collaborating institutions in SSA. Content will be CFAR/NIH-funding research focused.

Saturday, December 7th will be a full day main session for all participants with State-of-the-Science lectures on 4 Focus Areas (PMTCT, HIV/TB, Cervical Cancer/Malignancies, Key Populations) and CFAR/NIH-focused Research Agenda setting and networking activities.

How: Registration is free but space is very limited (250 participants). Interested investigators should fill out a Registration Request Form.

Travel and Accommodations: This meeting is being organized by Johns Hopkins CFAR staff on a limited budget. Travel costs to and from Cape Town and for attendance at ICASA are not provided. We advise using ICASA 2013’s website for assistance with travel and accommodations.
