For easy access, exit Hwy 168 at Shaw Avenue.  Travel west on Shaw Avenue to Chestnut and turn north.  Turn west (left) on Barstow.  The Viticulture & Enology facilities are on the north side of the street, surrounded by the Fresno State Vineyards.

Parking:  Grape Day participants may park in any yellow or green parking lot on the Fresno State campus with a coutresy parking code.   This courtesy code and instructions will be provided to all registrants prior to the event.   Parking in Lot Q, on Barstow Avenue, is recommended .  Without a courtesy code, parking on the Fresno State campus is $3 per vehicle.

Grape Day is an informal field day and open house held at the Department of Viticulture and Enology at Fresno State for grape growers, PCA's, winemakers, and winery personnel. 

This half-day event is held every other year on the Fresno State campus and includes practical field and indoor presentations, and poster presentations on the latest grape and wine research findings by our faculty, staff and student researchers.  Tours of our unique facilities, and refreshments, and lunch are included in the affordable registration fee.

2008 Grape Day registration tentRegistration and refreshments will begin at 7:30 am on August 14 on the shady lawn and gazebo area, west of the Viticulture and Enology Building on Barstow Avenue, between Cedar and Maple Avenues.  For outdoor presentations, we recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen. The program will conclude with a BBQ lunch, sponsored by American Vineyard Magazine.  Pre-registration is only $15 per person for general admission.  Student discounts are also available.
