What to Expect on Race Day

The 5K Run/Walk course is out and back.  The race will begin at Sioux Park, near the soccer fields.  Signs will be posted along Canyon Lake Drive  directing participants to the event.  Runners and walkers will follow the bike path north/east to the turnaround point and return on the same course.

The 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m.  

What to Expect Pre-Race

Particiapants will arrive between  7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. to collect their race day packets and register if they have not already done so.  There will be a limited number of t-shirts available on race day, so it is best to register early to guarantee a t-shirt.  Don't forget to register for door prizes when you check in.  The winners will be drawn during the race and be posted at the finish line. 

 About 10 minutes prior to the race start time, an announcement will be made and runners/walkers will head for the start line.  Please allow runners to line up first, followed by walkers and then those with strollers and pets.

What to Expect After the Race

Post race snacks will be available at the finish line.  Participants can also check the prize board to see if they have won a prize provided by our sponsors. 

Race Rules

* Although this is a family event, please limit wheels to strollers only.  No bikes, skateboards, skates, etc.

* Be courteous to other walkers/runners.  Stay to the right of the bike path to allow others to pass.

* If you plan to stop at the half way point for water, move all the way over to the table, grab your water and move away from the table so others may get water too.
