LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the epidemiology and risk factors for invasive fungal infections in patients who are immunocompromised and/or immunosuppressed.

  •  Employ the latest diagnostic techniques for invasive fungal infections to ensure early diagnosis and timely initiation of treatment.

  •  Integrate evidence-based guidelines on the use of antifungal agents, and the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic characteristics of these agents, into treatment decisions for patients with invasive fungal infections.
