Co-operative Housing Federation of BC Annual General Meeting 

Join us on Sunday November 19 for CHF BC's AGM, our 35th!

We are pleased to host our second AGM as part of the Housing Central Conference with our BC Non-Profit Housing Association partners. Our respective organizations have much in common, and we’re both proud of our combined accomplishments to date and excited about the opportunities ahead to build a stronger housing sector in BC.

The CHF BC AGM features important news from your board of directors, as well as elections to the CHF BC board and finance committee. Members are welcome to participate in the Housing Central Conference opening events beginning at 8:30 a.m., with the AGM registration opening at 10 a.m. and the AGM beginning at 10:30 a.m. Join the Housing Central lunchtime plenary before returning to the CHF BC meeting until 4:45 p.m. Be sure to stay for post-meeting festivities, including the exciting Sector Supper, featuring live entertainment and a fantastic meal.

CHF BC members can register one voting delegate and one alternate. Participants can represent only one co-op/organization as a voting delegate or alternate. Any number of observers and guests may attend. Co-ops and other groups that are not yet members of CHF BC are welcome to attend as observers.

 
All fees include 5% GST.

CHF BC wants to encourage co-op youth to take an active role in the Federation. Youth up to 25 years of age can register at a reduced rate if their co-op is sending a voting delegate. This year, in honour of our 35th anniversary, any registrants who were born in 1982, will have their registration fees waived. (ID will be requested at the AGM registration desk.)

We'll be holding an election for five at-large positions on the CHF BC board and one opening on the Finance Committee. All positions are for two-year terms. Download the Candidate's Declaration Form and send it back to us at members@chf.bc.ca. Nomination deadline is 4:30 p.m. November 10, 2017.

CALL FOR RESOLUTIONS

All members are encouraged to submit a resolution to be considered at the AGM. Download the Call for Resolutions Form and submit to us at members@chf.bc.ca by 9:00 a.m. November 6, 2017.

INVOICING AND PAYMENTS

We will invoice your co-op for all registrations after the AGM. We will also invoice your co-op/organization for cancellations received after Thursday November 16, 2017.

Delegate handbooks are available on our website (chf.bc.ca) after November 13, 2017.
