Dave DeSante Memorial Picnic 

The Institute for Bird Populations is hosting a memorial gathering to celebrate our founder and friend Dave DeSante. Please join us to share memories and enjoy the company of Dave's friends, family, colleagues, and fellow birders.

We'll be serving lunch and need a head count by March 15th, so please RSVP if you plan to attend.

Stafford Lake Park is a great place for birding so feel free to bring your binoculars! The memorial event will run from 11am-3pm but we have the picnic area reserved for the full day, so if folks want to arrive earlier or stay later to enjoy the park, they are free to do so. Park hours at 7am-7pm.

The park charges a $5 ENTRANCE FEE per vehicle (up to 10 people.) But if you hike or bike to the park, entrance is free.
