Our speaker is Andrea Sreshta, entrepreneur and co-founder of LuminAID.   Andrea and her partner, Anna Stork, designed their low cost solar-powered light in response to a Columbia graduate school project asking for ways to provide post-earthquake assistance to Haiti.  With the help of Columbia, they launched LuminAID in 2011.  After the "Today" show featured LuminAID among its Top Technology Trends 2013, they appeared on "Shark Tank" and received FIVE funding offers.  Shark Tank recently aired an update on LuminAID’s progress.  LumninAID now sell lights in over 70 countries with sales in the millions of dollars.
