Creating a Culture of Peace: Making Safe Spaces for All 

These are tumultuous times and it seems the only way back to the beloved community is direct love force. Political systems, justice systems, economic systems and community are fraying and splitting apart. You will be presented a framework to assist your congregations and communities as they join forces to create a culture of peace.

Our facilitator will be Rev. Doug Horner. Doug is the pastor at St Paul's Community Church in the heart of Cleveland's near west side. St Paul's is an urban sanctuary church providing outreach programs for homeless persons and teens. Doug has had 14 years of partnering with other churches, agencies and individuals for social change. Trained in Conflict Resolution, Diversity, Addictions, nonviolent direct action, advocacy for civil and human rights, building bridges between the man-made silos. He is a former Marine turned toward the compassionate heart of Jesus.

The cost for the Periodic Support Consultation is $35.

Optional lunch is $10.

Registration opens at 9:30AM.

The registration deadline is March 25.

The Periodic Support Consultation requirement needs to be fulfilled every three years. If you are an authorized minister who is retired and no longer performing ministerial functions, you may be exempt from this requirements. A request for exemption must be made to the appropriate Committee on Ministry.
