Pastor Kirbyjon H. Caldwell says that healthy church growth in African American congregations is about "N-M-N." He went on to explain that N-M-N represents "nickels, ministry & noses." Join us for this event, October 14 & 15, 2011 as we get serious in the Virginia conference about funding ministry for real growth, reaching new people in innovative and creative ways.
Beyond reaching them, come and learn how to keep them! Finally, come and learn how to put bodies in the pews every Sunday. We are preparing for 100 participants and we need your team to be present. Norfolk UMC is pleased to host this second event at our renovated Worship facility in Norfolk, VA. If you need recommendations for hotels in the area, don't hestitate to contact our church office for options.
Our Consultants for this event include Rev. Bridgette Young and Dr. Fred Allen. This is the second in a series of events to support and equip African American congregations in the Virginia Conference. Below, read a little about Rev. Young as we prepare for our time together.
