We are excited that you will be joining us for the Fifth Annual Northern California Safe and Healthy Schools Conference!  This amazing two-day conference features keynote speakers and workshops that will engage and inspire anyone who works in the areas of health, mental health, nursing, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, positive youth development, peer education, restorative justice/practices, PBIS/MTSS, social justice, school safety and response, inclusive schools, and bullying prevention. 

Day 1 – Wednesday, November 1, 2017:  Healthy Students 
Guiding Question: What strategies and programs can we use to improve the physical and emotional health of students?

  • Day 2 – Thursday, November 2, 2017:
     
    Safe Schools 
    Guiding Question: What strategies and programs can we use to create safe, respectful and inclusive classrooms, schools and communities?

    Guiding Question:   What strategies and programs can we use to engage young people and develop the next generation of wellness advocates?

  • Marijuana – The Changing Landscape in California (edibles, laws, and more)
  • Best practices in implement the FAIR Act
  • Mental health first-aid for students and staff - Suicide, Depression and Anxiety
  • Effective Strategies for Working with Students in Continuation and Juvenile Justice Settings
  • Comprehensive Safe School Planning and Implementation

    Conference Rate: $295/person ($250 Early Bird!!!)
