Making an organization more diverse, equitable and inclusive takes more than talk. It requires actual change.
But for all the talk of diversity, equity and inclusion in recent years, what do these terms actually mean for us as leaders, and for our organizations? What does change look like? How do we take these concepts and make them actionable? Where do we start?
Vision Action Network is hosting a Operationalizing Equity: Beyond Talk for leaders in Washington County. Each group will be small (approximately 8-10 people), include leaders from business, government, nonprofit, faith, education, and health care, etc., and consist of developing practical strategies and a draft workplan to implement equity in your organization.
Sessions take place in two phases:
Phase I - 1 1/2 days of guided discussion and operational planning
1st day - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
2nd day - 9:00 am - noon
Phase II
A 3-hour follow-up session to assess progress and plan.
Some simple self-assessment prepartory work is required prior to the initial gathering.
Cost
Event fee is $175 (early bird is $150 up to two week prior to seminar). Financial assistance may be available. Email glenn@visionactionnetwork.org to make a request.
Refund policy
No refunds will be issued. Given the small number of attendees and the likelihood that a registrant's seat will not be filled by someone else, the cost incurred to reserve a seat cannot be refunded. Thank you for your understanding.
