At Summit 2017, we continued to build bridges and deepen our understanding of the role implicit bias plays in community safety. As leaders of public safety and diverse civil society organizations, our commitment to this work created hope, and our actions built trust.
During Summit 2018, we shared tangible signs of institutional changes in our communities and called on attendees to continue to press on further.
Now in 2019, we are a united coalition working to prevent, respond to and seek justice for incidents and crimes motivated by hate and racism against our community.

Eric Ward
Executive Director, Western States Center
Mr. Ward joined Western States Center in 2017. WSC works nationwide to strengthen inclusive democracy so that all people can live, love, and work free from fear. He will speak to the national rise of white supremacy and how communities can respond in meaningful and effective ways to protect the most vulnerable populations and build greater resiliency.
Cultivate new relationships with community members, public safety professionals, and elected officials who share a goal of breaking down barriers and building trust to make our communities more resilient.
