Our presenter, Chris Velez, is a native plant specialist and farmer with over 20 years of experience. He and his wife Jamie operated Stella Luna Farm for 15 years, growing and selling farm-to-table produce boxes to the community. Chris has been mentored by Bonnie Bladen and Ray Laclergue of Intermountain Nursery and has also worked to restore habitats in the foothills. He is an advocate for the California Certified Organic Farmers and sits on the Board of the California Native Plant Society, Sequoia Chapter.
