November 19, 2013 Stennis Business Consortium Meeting 

The next general meeting of the Stennis Business Consortium (SBC) is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19 at 1:00pm in the auditorium of the StenniSphere, Building 1200, at Stennis Space Center.   There is no cost for the event; however, registration is required.

This meeting will focus on resource business providers – those nonprofit organizations that can help your business take the next step.   Speakers from the following agencies have confirmed:

•  Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MSET)
•  Mississippi Development Authority’s (MDA’s) Existing Industry Support Program
•  Innovation Center’s Business 101 classes and Export Bootcamp Program
•  Mississippi Dept. of Employment Security and WIN Job Centers
•  South Mississippi Planning & Development District’s (SMPDD’s) Revolving Loan Fund
•  University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Polymer Institute’s Prototyping Capability

These Mississippi-based resources will be partnered with their Louisiana counterparts for an informal matchmaking session following the presentations.  In addition to the agencies listed above, the following have been invited to be available for brief discussions on their services to small businesses:

SBC’s mission is to provide a mechanism for federal and state agencies, local institutions, and businesses to exchange information on small business goals, needed and emerging technologies, upcoming procurement requirements and opportunities, and issues dealing with existing procurement regulations.
