New Guidelines for Professionals

Move over Emily Post! Business etiquette has changed, although some guidelines of civility remain the same. Find out which ones have gone the way of the typewriter and which are current. Learn new lessons for any business setting - in person or online. Discover a foolproof way to remember which plate and fork to use at banquets. Find out what a professional handshake is, and what to do when a person you don't want to hug approaches you.

We'll cover when to stand and when to sit, and where to hold lunch meetings and who picks up the check. We'll discuss electronic etiquette, including phone, email, and social media. We'll top it off with an explanation of the difference in generations - what the expectations are and what constitutes a gaffe.

If you worry that your high school and college-aged students could use some polishing, bring them to this workshop. You've been telling them to sit up straight for ages. Maybe hearing it from an outsider will help. :)
