The COVID-19 pandemic has brought new and unprecedented challenges to school professionals as they return to school. For I&RS teams, preparation is key to identifying and addressing learning, social and emotional issues in their student population.

This half-day training will clarify the similarities and differences between the state code for I&RS and Federal Statute 504. It will outline how teams best determine the eligibility and criteria for collecting student information, developing action plans and providing the necessary accommodations to further enhance successful outcomes for general education students.
