Cultural Humility & Equity, Serving Transgender Communities: A Focus on Violence & Police Contact

You're invited to join us for a training titled, 'Cultural Humility & Equity, Serving Transgender Communities: A Focus on Violence and Police Contact.' This event is sponsored by the Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia and the Support Center for Child Advocates, and is approved for 6.0 CEU's, 6.0 CLE's, and 6 PCCD training hours. CEU's, CLE's, and PCCD hours are free of charge to participants.

This training will be focused on the complexities of the transgender and gender non-conforming communities, as these individuals are at a higher risk to experience violence, murder, and be involved in abusive relationships. By understanding vocabulary, adversities, and experiences within the diverse transgender and gender non-conforming community, allies can be better prepared to assist through the use of harm reduction, and learn to facilitate between families and communities that have witnessed violence towards a transgender family member or friend.

This is a full day training and lunch will be 'on your own.' There are local restaurants within walking distance, and coffee and water will be provided throughout the training. Feel free to bring snacks of your choice. Cick 'Register Now' below to proceed. Space is limited!
