Please join us for the 2022 Kennedy's Disease Association Conference and Educational Symposium on November 9-11. It will take place in San Diego or, if you can't be there, in your own home on the Zoom platform. You will find registration options for both formats below.
While our virtual conferences over the past two years have significantly increased attendance, we have missed the personal connections and collaboration that occur when we meet in person. This first "hybrid" event will give us the best of both worlds, and our theme this year reflects our excitement about it: The Global KD Family: Together Again.
Conference presentations will cover the many facets of Kennedy's Disease: the latest information that contributes to our understanding of it, what works for those who are dealing with it, and what is being done in the research community to develop a treatment. Researchers in attendance will engage in frank and wide-ranging discussions, imparting information that cannot be obtained from any other source. In addition, this year will feature something unprecedented and very special: In coordination with representatives from the Food and Drug Administration, we will conduct a Patient-Focused Drug Development Meeting during the conference in order to hear directly from patients, families, and caregivers about the symptoms that matter most to them and the impact of the disease on their daily lives. This is essential information that the FDA will use to make decisions during drug development. Since we may have some clinical trials coming up soon, completing the PFDD now should expedite the process when the time comes. Click HERE to view the agenda.
Registration includes all activities, presentations, morning and afternoon refreshments, Thursday's gala dinner and auction, and meetings with the doctors and researchers. Please note that registration does not include hotel accommodations. To book at the Holiday Inn Bayside call 1-800-662-8899 and inquire whether there are still rooms available at the KDA group rate (Group Code ZLF) of $149 per night. You may also book on-line by using this direct link: Kennedy's Disease Assn For those who wish to stay in the newest hotel tower which has upgraded rooms with stand-up showers, add an additional $30/per night to the conference rate. We hope you will be able to join us in San Diego and take this opportunity to meet with fellow KDA families and researchers, compare notes, and form new friendships that may last a lifetime.
