25th Best of Basics (BoB) Summer Program

A Different Approach to Summer School!

July 8 - August 2, 2019

What is Best of Basics?

WHERE:

• Our Pre-K to 5th grade classes will be held at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 5500 25th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN.  Please do not call the church with questions, call The Reading Center at 507-288-5271.

Early Childhood Classes - for 4-6 year olds and a parent/caregiver

DATES: Part 1: July 15-19 & Part 2: July 22-26

TIME: 9-10am OR 10:15-11:15am

COST: $150 per session for both parent/child

This is a parent-child team class. During each one week class parents will learn activities to strengthen and support the skills needed to read. To take Part 2, must have attended Part 1 or have pre-approval.

Other Details:

• The Reading Center reserves the right to cancel classes if too few registrations are received.
• Partial scholarships are available for qualfied families on a first-come, first served basis.  Scholarship application can be found online here.
• See our policy for withdrawal and refund.
• Students are pre-screened to determine areas of need and class placement.
• For online courses, technical requirements include: high-speed internet service (enough bandwidth to video-stream smoothly), a USB headset with attached microphone, access to a printer.
• 1:1 sessions must be scheduled within 3-4 consecutive weeks during summer. Time/day is arranged with assigned tutor.
