Maine Conference UCC "Practicing Torah - Branches of Judaism" will first survey the Ancient, Medieval, and Modern development of Judaism (Meeting 1, June 2) and then explore the three major branches of Present-day Judaism in America: Orthodox (Meeting 2, June 9), Reform (Meeting 3, June 16), and Conservative (Meeting 4, June 23). The course will conclude (Meeting 5, June 30) by confronting the history of Christian anti-Judaism. Meeting 5 will be optional (though recommended) for students and it will be open (and announced) to the entire Maine Conference UCC community. Each Meeting will feature morning and afternoon sessions.
Students may "Zoom in" from a distance only to Meetings 1 and 5.
