You are invited to join us for a relaxing evening of wine, hors d'oeuvres, and conversation with other like-minded women who share your passion for making an impact in our community.
The WU Fall Kickoff is a great opportunity for new members to get to know more about Women United and make new connections in the area. This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend who may be interested in learning more about the important work happening in Henderson County through Women United! For this event, Roxanna Pepper, will join us as our keynote speaker to tell us about her personal and professional journey and the women who have most powerfully impacted her life.
Roxanna is the Professional Development Coordinator at the Children and Family Resource Center, as well as a life coach, wellness instructor at the Hendersonville YMCA, and a volunteer in a number of roles — including the African American Cultural Committee, United Way, Hendersonville First Baptist Church, United Religions Initiative, and Henderson County Partnership for Health. Additionally, she was the recipient of United Way’s prestigious 2022 Cranford Award and the annual ATHENA Award in 2017.
For our quarterly give-back opportunity, we'll be collecting emergency clothing for Upward & Hillandale Elementary, as well as collecting tights, leggings, and undergarments for Hendersonville Middle School.
Our quarterly give-back opportunity will be a clothing drive for our GEM schools' emergency clothing closets. We hope you can help contribute by bringing an item or more from the list below to the Fall Kickoff on September 27th. If you can’t attend the kickoff, but still want to donate clothing, you are welcome to drop it by the United Way office by September 28th at 722 Fifth Avenue West.
