This year we are excited to welcome Pete Wright, Esq. from Wrightslaw to present on Special Education Law and Advocacy. This full-day, in person* training program is designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys. It will focus on:

  • Special Education Law, Rights & Responsibilities
  • Tests & Measurements to Measure Progress & Regression
  • SMART Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Introduction to Tactics & Strategies for Effective Advocacy

The Parent/Guardian Early Bird registration fee is $70.00 if you register through February 15th and $80.00 after that date. The Professional Early Bird registration fee is $125 if you register through February 15th and $150 after that date.

The registration fee includes a continental breakfast, box lunch and hard copies of the three books, "Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 2nd Ed.", "Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Ed.", and "Wrightslaw: All About IEPs" that will be used as the primary teaching tools during the program. Hard copies of the books will be given out at registration the morning of the conference. PDF versions of all three books will be emailed a week after the program. These three print and pdf books normally retail for $103.70

All Early Bird registrants will also receive FREE via email, an adobe.pdf file of the “Special Education Law” book and the “2017 Special Education Legal Developments and Cases” book which includes all of the 2017 U. S. Court of Appeals special education cases and the two 2017 U. S. Supreme Court cases, Fry and Endrew F, which have a retail value of $34.90.

The conference programming runs between 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, but registration and exhibits will be open at 8:00 am.

We are able to provide CEUs (0.6 units) and are anticipating that CLEs will be available, both for an additional fee. The fee can be added when you register and, in the unlikely event we are not able to offer CLEs, we will provide a full refund of the fee.

Parking is free at the venue.

Refund policy: Full ticket refunds are available through 03/14/22. After this date, partial refunds of the ticket price less $40 are offered. SUBSTITUTION OF ATTENDEES IS ENCOURAGED.

Limited scholarships are available for parents/guardians on a first-come, first-served basis. Please fill out the scholarship form before you register. We will contact scholarship recipients with a specific code to register for the day at the reduced rate. Apply for a scholarship here.
