6th Annual CDFI Credit Union Roundtable at GAC

The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, the leading advocate for credit unions serving low- and moderate-income consumers and underserved communities, invites you to the 6th annual CDFI Certified Credit Union Roundtable at this year's GAC.

The CDFI certified credit union industry is growing! With nearly 300 CDFI certified credit unions and collective assets of more than $73 billion, CDFI credit unions provide services to more than 7.5 million primarily low-income consumers. These institutions aren't defined by asset size or FOM, but by their commitment to financial inclusion and community development.

Join us February 27th at the Federation's 6th Annual CDFI Roundtable and learn about new developments at the CDFI Fund, 2017 funding levels, and the value that CDFI certification provides to our industry, particularly around advocacy and community impact.

Keynote Speakers: Annie Donovan, Martha Ninichuk and Charles E. Snyder

CDFI Fund Director, Annie Donovan, has deep roots in community development and finance. She was most recently Chief Executive Officer of CoMetrics, a social enterprise that provides high quality, affordable business intelligence tools to small businesses and nonprofits seeking to improve financial management, better measure social impact, and increase their capacity for innovation. Prior to CoMetrics, Director Donovan was Senior Policy Advisor to the White House, working collaboratively with the Office of Social Innovation and the Council on Environmental Quality.

Martha Ninichuk oversees NCUA’s initiatives to support small, low-income and new credit unions and minority depository institutions, which include training, consulting services, grants and loans and partnerships with public and private stakeholders. Ninichuk joined NCUA in April 2012 as OSCUI’s deputy director and served as Acting Director from June to October, 2016. With more than 25 years of credit union experience, Ninichuk has held a number of leadership positions in both the U.S. and international credit union systems. Prior to joining NCUA, she worked at the Michigan Credit Union League, the Maryland and D.C. Credit Union Association, and the World Council of Credit Unions. She was also the manager of St. Cletus Credit Union, a small faith-based institution located in Warren, Michigan.

Charles E. Snyder is the president and chief executive officer of National Cooperative Bank (NCB) and leads its Executive Council, a team of senior managers representing business development units and functional areas across the company. Mr. Snyder joined NCB in 1983 as corporate vice president and chief financial officer. In 1992, he was named president and chief executive officer. Previously, Mr. Snyder was controller of Temporaries, Inc., and president of Temporaries Federal Credit Union.  He also worked as a certified public accountant with the firm of Matthews, Carter and Boyce in Washington, DC.

Meet Cathie Mahon, Federation President and CEO, and Terry Ratigan, Senior Federation Consultant, for this exciting opportunity to network with your peers!  If you are CDFI certified, low-income designated or simply interested in taking your community development to the next level, this special session is not to be missed! We look forward to seeing you on February 27th!
