Community Workshop
Developing a "Friends" Organization for Securing The Future of the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed

Come join fellow Marin residents, conservationists, and Mt. Tamalpais enthusiasts to discuss the future of the Mt. Tamalpais watershed and to help chart a course for this invaluable community asset.

The Marin Municipal Water District is hosting a series of workshops this fall to work with interested community members to develop a citizen-based non-profit organization dedicated to enhanced stewardship of the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed.

The second meeting will be held on Monday, November 15 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the MMWD district office Board Room at 22o Nellen Avenue in Corte Madera.

The topics to be addressed are:

  • Provide feedback on the draft business plan for a "Friends" organization
  • Discuss means and methods for capturing public enthusiasm in the work of the "Friends" organization
  • Brainstorm suggestions for the name of the organization

The first workshop was held on September 22 at Bacich Elementary School in Kentfield and resulted in significant clarification of goals and objectives for a "Friends" organization.

For planning purposes, please click the link below to let us know if you will be attending this free workshop.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact MMWD Watershed Manager Mike Swezy (mswezy@marinwater.org).

Thank you. We look forward to seeing you at the workshop.
