Instrument Ground School
Mondays & Thursdays, 6:00-9:00pm
January 7 - February 21, 2018

Western Air is pleased to present another round of our Part 61 and Part 141 Instrument Ground School.

Are you looking to add an instrument rating to your Private Pilot Certificate?  The Instrument Ground School Course will provide you with all the training necessary to pass the FAA Instrument written exam. Topics include flight instrument systems, attitude instrument flight, instrument navigation, airports and airspace, FARs, ATC systems and clearances, departure, enroute and arrival charts and procedures, holding patterns, approach charts and procedures, GPS navigation, flight simulation, meteorology, aeromedical factors, and IFR emergency procedures and flight planning.

While you can certainly take care of your studying on your own, most people prefer to attend a classroom course. Not only will this ensure you cover all the material, but it will also provide the structure and organization to get you through the required material in an organized and timely manner.

This session starts on January 7th and runs for 7 weeks on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6-9PM through February 21st. (No class on Valentines Day, Feburary 4th.)

The cost of the class is $350.00, due on the first day of class.

Required materials are:

  • Jeppesen Instrument Syllabus
  • Jeppesen Instrument Manual
  • Jeppesen Instrument Rating Airmen Knowledge Test Guide

These items are available for purchase on the first night of class, or pick them up ahead of time to get an early start.

Class space is limited, so register today!
