Learn how Sensory Processing Differences can contribute to your child’s ability to cope with daily routines and activities.

 

This workshop focuses on helping parents learn how sensory processing differences contribute to their child’s ability to cope with daily routines and activities. It will be presented by Beth Tenace, MS, OTR/L.

Expert Beth Tenace, MS, OTR/L will be discussing Sensory Processing Theory. This presentation will be an introduction to sensory processing theory and how differences might contribute to fears, tantrums, and other inappropriate behaviors.  You will learn sensory strategies to help calm, regulate and better organize your child’s day.

Who is Beth Tenace?

Beth is the BP&HT Clinical Director.  She has been a practicing Occupational Therapist for over 10 years and specializes in understanding sensory processing dysfunction. With a primary interest in Sensory Integration, she has dedicated 7 years of service working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder at Autism Services, a not for profit agency in the Buffalo area. Beth joined the BP&HT team over a year ago and she works in the Pediatric Center with children of a wide variety of ages and needs.
