Downton Abbey-inspired Garden Party

You're invited to join us for a Downton Abbey-inspired Garden Party at the Gardens of Elm Bank. This festive event will support the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Garden to Table program.

Spend the afternoon strolling through the exquisite Gardens at Elm Bank, admiring a handful of vintage cars, and watching a match by New England's premier cricket league at "tea time." At 5:30pm, the doors to the historic Hunnewell Building will open to a Pimm's Cup, beer & wine, delicious hors d'ouevres from the Catered Affair, a vintage fashion display, and music by the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra's String Quartet.

Noted vintage couture expert Karen Augusta of Augusta Auction Company will exhibit museum-quality fashions that illustrate the dramatic changes in fashion from the Edwardian period to the 1920s. She will be on hand to answer questions about the clothing displayed or costumes worn by your favorite Downton Abbey characters.

Vintage attire encouraged. Enter our best costume & best hat contests to win luxury prizes.

Event tickets are $125 each. Event is rain or shine. We look forward to seeing you there!

Many thanks to our generous sponsors for making this event possible.
