Cultivating Community in School Gardens

Mass Hort's Second Annual School Gardens Conference

February 19, 2016 · 8 am - 4 pm · The Gardens at Elm Bank, Wellesley, MA

 Find the day's schedule here.

This conference is intended for school teachers, administrators, students, garden club mentors, librarians, parents, preservationists and civic organizations. The day will feature workshops that explore regional best practices for planning a garden that will endure seasons and administration changes, meet educational goals and serve generations of healthy, growing children. Speakers will share expertise and experience on topics including garden planning and maintenance, curriculum connections, engaging students and community, and funding.

Together, with your help, we hope to cultivate garden spaces that will enrich every community's understanding and stewardship of its horticultural inheritance.

We would like to thank our co-sponsoring organizations for their support:

Massachusetts Master Gardeners, SHED Children's Campus, Slow Food Boston, and Slow Food USA, and WGBH.
