Magical Mini Garden Workshop 

In this hands-on workshop for children 5 years and older, Betsy Szymczak of the Buxton Branch of the American Begonia Society will show each child to create a miniature dish garden for their favorite fairy, princess, dragon, dinosaur or other magical friend. Children will learn about the importance of plants, what plants need to grow and how much fun it is to be a gardener. 

Each child will have the opportunity to make a garden.  They will fill an 8” diameter shallow container with growing medium (soil) and 3-4 small plants including ferns and mosses. They can add some decorations; a fairy or maybe a mini dinosaur. Children will take their garden home with directions on how to take care for it. 

All materials are included. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
