Join us for a day trip to Cape Cod, Sandwich, MA for a visit to the Heritage Museum and Gardens durring their annual Rhododendron Festival celebration.

Heritage Museums & Gardens offers 100 spectacular acres of trees and shrubs, designed gardens, exquisite flowers and sweeping lawns. Springtime features showy Dexter Rhododendrons, with approximately 160 named varieties of Dexter and Cowles rhododendrons and 10s of thousands of unnamed varieties and flowering trees. There is a small tram that offers a hop on/hop off 20 minute loop of the gardens. There are also rhododendron tours offered twice a day and take about a 1/2 hour. You may also wish to purchase a small group tour for an additional $7, please call the gardens directly to arrange, (508) 888-3300.

Be sure to visit the Heritage Antique Automotive Museum, gift shop and ride the 1908 Charles Looff Carousel! The carousel is one of the most popular attractions at Heritage Museums & Gardens. Made by Charles Looff in 1908, the hand-carved carousel is a treasure and you're welcome to enjoy unlimited rides with admission.

Lunch is on your own. You may picnic/bring your own or purchase a lunch at the garden’s Magnolia Café, serving sandwiches, soups, salads and sweets. 

Itinerary 

9am - Bus departure from Fisk Methodist Church, 106 Walnut St, Natick MA. Please meet here with plenty of time to load, Parking generously provided through Fisk Methodist Church.  

10:30am - Arrival at the Heritage Museum & Gardens 

2:30pm - Depart from Heritage Museum & Gardens

4pm - Arriving back to Natick/Fisk Methodist Church

This trip is for the independent traveler with lots of walking. Limited seats will be sold for this trip.
