Gardening For the Birds

Even in a small yard, you can create mini-ecosystems that will support bird’s nesting and raising their young.

We are all concerned about the plight of the birds. Their populations are declining due to habitat loss, climate change, and pesticide use. But gardeners can help, even if you only have a small yard!

In this talk Charlie Nardozzi will highlight the native trees, shrubs, vines, and flowers that help provide birds with food when they are nesting and migrating. We'll also talk about creating shelter, nesting areas, and water resources for our feathered friends along with the proper ways to feed birds through the colder months.
