Dive into Succulents

A World of Unique Plant Specimans

Plants trying to survive arid ecosystems throughout the world have evolved and developed adaptations from standard plant forms to withstand prolonged drought conditions, extremes in temperature and nutrient poor desert soils These adaptations make this category of plant life, succulents, some of the most unique and curious plant specimens on earth.

From a brief explanation of the difference between cactus and succulents to a “show and tell” of live plants and why you might want to keep them in your plant collection. Most of these plants can be raised on a windowsill.

Melissa Pace is an award-winning horticulturalist who competes in numerous garden and flower shows, from Philadelphia Flower Show to the Bolton Fair.
