We are very excited to once again offer attendees an expanded agenda with opportunities to receive an increased amount of CME credit and to earn 10 Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2 points. These improvements were created with the benefit of our members in mind, adding value to the overall conference experience.

Course Description
The Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AzAAP) Annual Summer Conference is the premiere event for pediatricians and other pediatric healthcare professionals to gather for educational sessions, interactive workshops, dynamic speakers, knowledge sharing, networking, and of course, product and services shopping. This is your opportunity to make valuable contacts, and develop relationships with pediatric healthcare professionals from across the state.

Course Description:The 42nd Annual Course of Pediatrics in the Red Rocks is a 3 day post-graduate course, jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. You should attend Pediatrics in the Red Rocks if you are a primary care or hospitalist pediatrician, pediatric subspecialist, hospital and/or university faculty, resident, medical student, or nurse practitioner.  The course combines lectures, case presentations, question and answer sessions, and workshops with time for informal interaction with the guest faculty and peers.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AzAAP). The American Academy of Pediatrics is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The AAP designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity is acceptable for a maximum of 15.00 AAP credits. These credits can be applied toward the AAP CME/CPD Award available to Fellows and Candidate Members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

PAs may claim a maximum of 15.00 Category 1 credit for completing this program. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

This program is accredited for 15.00 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0 contain pharmacology (Rx), (0 related to psychopharmacology) (0 related to controlled substances), content per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines.

MOC Part 2 Points
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments and feedback to the learner, enables the participant to earn 10.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
