Recalculating Worship
After our very successful Recalculating the Way event in March 2014, we asked participants what they wanted next. The most common answer was a workshop day devoted to exploring ways to recalculate how we worship. Please join us on March 14th as we do just that!
Recalculating the Way II: Recalculating Worship will feature keynote presentations, 'TED' Talks, and small group experimentation and experiences. Bring your creativity with you to a day geared toward experiencing, recalculating, and hearing about evolving ways to worship and expand participation.
Our Keynote Speaker is The Rev. Michael Piazza, Rev. Piazza is a spiritual visionary, author and social justice advocate who is the senior pastor at Virginia-Highland Church in Atlanta GA after 23 years with the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, Texas. Under his courageous leadership as senior pastor and later dean, the Cathedral of Hope made religious history by reclaiming Christianity as a faith of extravagant grace, radical inclusion and relentless compassion while becoming the world’s largest liberal Christian church with a predominantly lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender outreach.
The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 14, 2015. Check in starts at 8:30 and finishes at 9:00.
All registrations must be done on-line. You'll have the option of mailing a check if you prefer.
Registration closes at 6 p.m. on March 9th.
There will be no walk in registrations accepted on the day of the event!
Financial support from both the Diocese and the Conference means the event only costs $20 per person, including light breakfast and lunch! (A deli board lunch buffet will be provided as well as morning and afternoon snacks, coffee, tea, & water.)
Teams of 4-6 people from each church are encouraged to attend. Individuals are also welcome. One person is allowed to register multiple people; simply add additional 'participants' on the registration form.
