"We've Never Done it That Way Before!" Reflections on new ways of doing worship
Maren C. Tirabassi was a local church pastor in the United Church of Christ for 37 years in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She is the author of 20 books and a former poet laureate of Portsmouth, NH. Maren retired from parish ministry on Christmas Day, 2016. Always bi-vocational - parish pastor, liturgical and secular writer and teacher - Maren now intentionally focuses on writing and leading workshops. She offers workshops on writing poetry, liturgy, memoir or fiction in schools, senior settings, faith communities, correctional facilities, recovery and survivor groups, and English Language Learners.
In addition to workshops, Maren is a book mentor. As she says "Over the years I’ve nudged, organized and edited many books — from memoir to cozy mystery. Some new writers need one solid session of bouncing ideas or setting a schedule, while others need ongoing editing or publishing suggestions.
